Manifesting made simple: Intentions, ritual and reality

Manifesting is something I’ve used in my own life, most notably to bring about the home renovation work we’ve had done.

It was something that took about two years to come to fruition and there is still much to be done, including a garden room for me to work from. But it has already shifted the way we as a family interact in our home - more meals around the dinner table and a much better connection with our outdoor space.

The renovation did not occur ‘by magic’, it occurred because my husband's view on getting the work done shifted and I was able to understand what was needed in order to navigate us both through the process of getting through planning, getting the right builder and how to finance it. These two parts of the puzzle - his viewpoint shifting and my actions in moving the project along I think ARE the ‘magic’ bit really.

I believe that the manifesting ritual I carried out on January 12th 2025 was a catalyst that helped the energy to shift here. It gave me the clarity of outcome I wanted and the ritual cemented my commitment to it.

Manifesting does not need to be shrouded in mystery. It does not need to be complicated. All sorts of people do it - athletes envisioning a winning performance, entrepreneurs dreaming their passion projects into reality. If there’s something you are enthusiastic about, if bringing it into your life will enrich it and bring joy then a manifesting ritual will be an excellent thing to try out.

What is manifesting?

To ‘manifest’ something is to set an intention, and to make that intention a reality through both your personal conviction and the actions you take.

Do I need to hold a specific Spiritual belief in order for my manifesting to be effective?

I don’t think so. As I mentioned earlier, all kinds of people have their way of manifesting. I think you need to be open to the idea that there is something bigger than the physical world we inhabit. And that you need to enter into this process seriously. Aside from this, I don’t think any beliefs you already hold will prevent you from manifesting to help realise your dreams and ambitions.

What can and can’t I manifest?

You cannot manifest anything to do with gambling.

You can only manifest events and outcomes that are personal to you - so world peace and an end to global warming are, sadly, off the table.

You should only ever manifest something for “the highest and greatest good” - so, you can’t manifest harm on others, and you shouldn’t use manifesting for trivial things.

What preparation and tools are useful for manifesting?

Before manifesting you must write down exactly what it is you want to make a reality. This must be written with as much clarity and detail as you are able to give at this point. Spend time on this bit and have fun with it!

Before carrying out a formal manifesting ritual it’s always a wonderful thing to raise your own personal vibration and the vibration of the space you are in. This is not mandatory, but it’s helpful.

Prepare the area you want to carry out your manifesting ritual in a way that is meaningful to you - you can raise the vibration in your space through essential oils, candles, crystals (Citrine or Clear Quartz are especially useful here and are easy to get hold of - and some images of crystals carry the same vibrations as the actual objects).

To raise your own vibration, you need to do something that invokes JOY.

Here are some examples of things I like to do which make me joyful:

  • Movement! Yoga, Qi Gong, Swimming, Dancing…

  • Walking in nature

  • Creativity - painting, drawing or crafting

Sometimes a simple cup of tea and a delicious snack is enough to invoke some joy… the detail of this bit will be highly personal to you and will be the right thing for you at this point in time.

I also recommend printing out some Glyphs of Light and pinning them in your space so they can cast their vibrations into your ritual. I’ve produced a free printable which you can download with three of my favourite manifesting Glyphs.

How do you carry out a ritual to manifest?

Before you start your manifesting ritual. Centre and ground yourself, if you do not already have a favoured technique to do this I recommend saying the following light language out loud, letting each statement land, feeling anchored deeply to the centre of the Earth through your feet:

Secoo-Narim-Bee-Doh

Secoo-Am-Bee-Doh-Noss

Garusan

(Grounds you and releases self sabotage)

Eternal Fantastic, one of the Glyphs of Light useful for your manifesting ritual.

SET YOUR INTENTION - this is an important step. Intention when working with energy is absolutely KEY to it being properly carried out. Your intention when manifesting will be something such as:

“I intend to manifest my ambition to XXXXXX.

I do this for the greatest and highest good.”

Now read out what you have written down.

Formally close out your manifesting by placing your hand on the ‘Eternal Fantastic’ Glyph and saying:

“And so it is.”

What happens next?

You will find that you will naturally feel compelled to take the next step in making your dream a reality, this will look different for everyone.

Manifesting shouldn’t make you feel like you are working excessively hard or having to jump through hoops in order to get the outcome you need. You have to trust that the universe has ‘got your back’ and that everything will come naturally. That said, it won’t just fall into your lap - you will need to take action to bring your intention into reality - but the action will feel natural and compelling as opposed to running yourself ragged.

Happy manifesting! 🙂
